This recipe is provided by Chiao. This is a nostalgic snack for her, which she often had after school as a child. Now she’s glad to be able to recreate it with ingredients all available at Gram! It’s very easy!

Ingredients:

  • 200g Organic chocolate pieces (a mix of dark and milk chocolate or just dark chocolate, if you wish to reduce sugar consumption or want to keep it vegan) (G)

  • 150g Organic cornflakes (G)

  • About 4 tbsp almond flakes (optional) (G)

    (G) = available at Gram

Method:

  1. Dry roast almond flakes in a pan over low heat until golden brown.

  2. Pour the cornflakes into a Stasher bag or fold into a clean cloth and slightly crush them. Do not crush too finely otherwise they’ll lose their crunchiness later.

  3. Melt the chocolate in a bowl over a pan of water.

  4. Pour the almond flakes and corn flakes into a big bowl. Save some almond flakes for garnish.

  5. Pour in the melted chocolate and mix.

  6. Use a spoon to scoop out a portion of the mixture and place it on a plate in a round shape. Garnish with some almond flakes.

  7. Freeze for 15 minutes to help the shape form.

  8. Voila! Now you have about 10 pieces of delicious chocolate crunches!
